Paula Todhunter, Chapter 11, Question #2
Like Adam, I also found the ending really interesting. It reminded me of an article we read in class a little while back about Donald Trump and his obsession with being number 1 again in terms of economics. Considering Wheelan's statement at the end of this chapter, this mindset could be problematic and if I remember correctly that's what the article said. Each country needs the other countries to grow economically for themselves to grow economically. This idea of the world being a zero-sum game is useless and won't help and could potentially hurt us in the long run.
