Alexis Turnage, Chapter 9, Question #5

One passage that stuck out to me the most was on page 192. This page was talking about growth and recession and back to growth and also talking about the labor market. "During the robust growth of the 1990s, the labor market was so tight that fast-food restaurants were paying signing bonuses,..." (192). It's extremely interesting to me that fast-food restaurants were paying signing bonuses because you don't see that as much anymore, but you do see signs that will say "Come into our store and interview today." I never thought a fast-food restaurant would do signing bonuses.
