Paula Todhunter, Chapter 13, Question #5

I found the property right situation really interesting.  I never thought that something like property rights could affect the economy so much. On one hand, giving informal property rights to homeless helps them  to focus on other things besides finding a place to sleep or protecting themselves. They can stop worrying and start working. But on the other hand,  because the people don't actually own the land, it keeps them from selling or profiting from it and can end up costing more money than it produces.
