Eric Bejarano, Chapter 4, Question #6
In this chapter Wheelan examines the role of government in our lives and specifically the economy. I most enjoyed the part where he explains the governments ability to harm its citizens by over extending its power as exemplified by the Soviet government. In this government the government allocated resources so that they could be the first ones on the moon. As a result many citizens went without food and other necessities. This reveals that the power of the government can have a negative effect even though they may have good intentions.
