Gabbi Johnson, Chapter 3, Question #1

Wheelan used the example of driving an SUV versus driving a Mini Cooper. Normally, I don't have much interest in cars, but since I drive a Mini it caught my attention. When my parents bought the car, they most likely didn't think about how me driving it would affect everyone from myself to people on the other side of the globe. But now that I know it is better for the environment, I think that in the future I will take more into account when I need to buy a car. It also made me more aware of noticing the cars around me when I drive. Many of them are large and contain only one passenger as he talked about. Having that much empty space seems wasteful, yet such a large portion of the population does it. Reading this chapter made me feel better about the car I drive.
